In our younger years our brain is so innocent that it sees the monsters which are within us and shape us, together with the environment around us, become real in our eyes. But with time, as we shape ourselves, the monsters either quieten down or make themselves well known. This is why, in my opinion, the monsters which we see as children are the voices we hear in our heads later on in life. They tell us about how we should live, who we should see and what we should do.
